Tradewater is a B-Corp dedicated to eliminating non-CO2 GHG emissions, mainly refrigerants and methane. Their primary audience is large organizations seeking to purchase offset credits. How might we raise awareness about the importance of addressing non-CO2 gasses while distributing the inroads for smaller orgs to take part in the action?
"Pennies for the Planet" is Tradewater's concept to drive pennies per transaction from small and large organizations towards destroying non-CO2 gasses. Our role was to develop the early stage pilot program including a One-Pager, a slide deck, and leads for pilot program participants.
Utilizing our trusted Marketplace of the Future eco-system, we started by maximizing Tradewater's visibility through logo placement on our site, newsletter mentions, social media, and a double-wide booth at the event. Next, we directly contacted a list of start-ups that are most likely to be interested in the program. We also added a simple checkbox upon ticket purchase to take advantage of the 1,000+ traffic on our eventbrite to capture warm leads. The list grew to include decision makers at large and small organizations spanning conscious cosmetics, zero-waste grocery stores, event producers, plant-based restaurants, and consultants.
Success! We have officially kicked off with our first pilot partner, a passion-driven zero-waste refillery in Brooklyn called Maison Jar. In our early stage conversations we've learned that 99% of Maison Jar's transactions are by weight, adding an extra challenge for operationalizing our program. We're also in discovery about how Tradewater's network can drive traffic to Maison Jar, increasing their sales, resulting in the destruction of more non-CO2 emissions.
